<p>We just released a new self hosted app you can download and install on your own server, we call it <a title="Sendy" href="http://sendy.co" target="_blank">Sendy</a>!</p>
<h2>What is Sendy?</h2>
<p><a href="http://sendy.co" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.subernova.com/edms/15/sendy.jpg" border="0" alt="sendy Meet Sendy, a self host newsletter app powered by Amazon SES" title="Meet Sendy, a self host newsletter app powered by Amazon SES" /></a></p>
<p><a title="Sendy" href="http://sendy.co" target="_blank">Sendy</a> is a self hosted email newsletter application that lets you send trackable emails via <a href="http://aws.amazon.com/ses/" target="_blank">Amazon Simple Email Service (SES)</a>. Complete with reports, subscriber and list management.</p>
<p>Sendy was born out of frustration of paying for expensive email campaign services. We send newsletters via Campaign Monitor for <a href="http://www.subernova.com" target="_blank">SUBERNOVA</a> and <a href="http://www.mockvault.com" target="_blank">MockVault</a>. No doubt Campaign Monitor is a great email campaign service, the price goes up to hundreds of dollars just for one email campaign. As our subscriber base grows, the cost per campaign grows significantly high.</p>
<p><img src="http://sendy.co/images/comparison-table.jpg" border="0" alt="comparison table Meet Sendy, a self host newsletter app powered by Amazon SES" title="Meet Sendy, a self host newsletter app powered by Amazon SES" /></p>
<p>We really don&#8217;t ask for much, just a newsletter application that enables us to manage subscribers, send campaigns and view reports. What we managed to find were either too expensive or flat out ugly.</p>
<h2>The best service we&#8217;ve found</h2>
<p><img style="float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px;" src="http://www.subernova.com/edms/15/aws.jpg" border="0" alt="aws Meet Sendy, a self host newsletter app powered by Amazon SES" title="Meet Sendy, a self host newsletter app powered by Amazon SES" /></p>
<p>The best service we&#8217;ve found is Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). It offers email sending at high deliverability rates and at an insanely low price. $1 (Amazon SES) versus $150 (Campaign Monitor) for 10,000 emails?? Sounds great! But they don&#8217;t offer the ability to send trackable newsletters and manage lists and subscribers.</p>
<p>Amazon SES is in need of an application that is built around it.</p>
<p>And so we built it. We even added client access features so that you can create logins for your clients to send newsletters on their own at a price you set.</p>
<p>You can have <a title="Sendy" href="http://sendy.co" target="_blank">Sendy</a> too at a one time introductory fee of $40 (we&#8217;ll be pricing it at $59 at some point).</p>

<p>To get a design approved, it&#8217;s not all about the design, it&#8217;s how you sell it. When sending a design to your client over the web, different format yields different results. If you&#8217;ve been sending mockups in PDF, Powerpoint or even in multiple JPEGs, your designs may not look like how it should be when it&#8217;s coded. This results in unnecessary requests for changes, wasting you time.</p>
<p>For over 13 years, we&#8217;ve tried and tested several ways of presenting our designs to clients. Only one format deemed the most effective in terms of getting it approved. It&#8217;s by placing annotations over the mockups and displaying it like the actual website.</p>
<p>The reason why annotations raises approval rates is because it&#8217;s easy for them to understand what they&#8217;re looking at. Guiding your clients through is critical if you want them to see the design the way you see it.</p>

<p>I really wanted to love <a href="http://mail.google.com/mail/help/tasks/" target="_blank">Google Tasks</a>. I really did. Having a task manager built in to Google Apps-which I use near religiously would have been beyond convenient. But Google Tasks…well, let’s call a spade a space-Google Tasks sucks.</p>
<p>Enter <a href="http://www.gqueues.com/" target="_blank">Gqueues</a>-a feature-packed task manager that is EXACTLY what Google Tasks should have been.</p>
<h2>I’m Incredibly Disappointed By Google Tasks Too, Tell Me More About GQueues</h2>
<p>The Gqueues Tag Line is: “Lists. Prioritized. Simple. A Full-Featured Task Manager for Your Google Account and Google Apps Account!”</p>
<p>The main principles of Gqueues are right in the name:</p>
<ul>
<li>G=Google Integration</li>
<li>Queues: Ordered task lists.</li>
</ul>
<div id="scid:5737277B-5D6D-4f48-ABFC-DD9C333F4C5D:91fbe63a-e250-463c-b8e8-5a4bca47691d" class="wlWriterEditableSmartContent" style="padding-bottom: 0px; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; float: none; padding-top: 0px">

</div>
<h2>Digging Deeper: The Components of Gqueues</h2>
<p>There are 3 basic components of Gqueues are:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Categories:</strong> Groups of queues</li>
<li><strong>Queues:</strong> Prioritized Lists of Tasks</li>
<li><strong>Tasks:</strong> Well, I think you know what tasks are.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Categories</h2>
<p>Categories are groups of queues. Gqueues starts you off with default categories such as “Work” and “Home.” However, you can re-name this Categories to whatever you please. You can also add, delete, and reorder categories. It’s highly customizable-which is excellent-so no matter how your brain groups things you are set.</p>
<h2>Queues</h2>
<p>Queues are prioritized lists of tasks. Just like with Categories, Gqueues gives you a few defaults that you can easily rename. Also, like categories add, delete, and re-ordering is a snap.</p>
<p>One of my favorite features is the ability to change the color of a queue. I’m in love with color-coding, but few apps seem to share my love. Color-coding enables you to take a quick glance and see what you have to do before you even skim.</p>
<p>A few other nifty queues bonus features include the ability to duplicate queues and adding descriptions.</p>
<h2>Smart Queues</h2>
<p>Smart Queues filter items based on things like due date or tag. Once again, Gqueues gives you some defaults to get you going, but you can always change them. The default Smart Queues are</p>
<ul>
<li>Inbox</li>
<li>Assignments</li>
<li>Overdue</li>
<li>Due Today</li>
<li>Due in a Week</li>
<li>All Items</li>
</ul>
<h2>To Add a Smart Queues</h2>
<ol>
<li>Click “Add Smart Queue”</li>
<li>Name the Smart Queue</li>
<li>Select the Criteria You Want to Make Up the Queue</li>
</ol>
<p>And voila!</p>
<p>There are 2 different kinds of Smart Queues that you can create.</p>
<h2>Generic Smart Queues</h2>
<p>Generic Smart Queues let you create a Smart Queue based on pretty much whatever criteria you want. Due dates, assigned to yourself or others, from a certain project…you get the idea.</p>
<h2>Next Action Smart Queues</h2>
<p>For those of you who are more GTD oriented, you can also create a “Next Action Smart Queue” that will include all the top items from every queues, giving you a concrete set of actions to choose from.</p>
<p>You can even sort and group tasks within a smart queues by date, name, or queue order.</p>
<h2>The Inbox Queue</h2>
<p>The Inbox Queue is essentially a catch-all queue that you can either leave tasks in or  process what’s in it and move it to a more appropriate queue.</p>
<p>By default, any task created through your inbox, Google Calendar, or the Google Reader send-to link shows up here.</p>
<h2>Tasks</h2>
<p>The most important thing to remember about Gqueues is that your tasks appear in order. The principle behind Gqueues is “The whole concept of a queue is that it is an <em>ordered</em> list, which forces a person to decide the importance of a task compared to the others.” Luckily, Gqueues makes it easy to add and re-order.</p>
<h2>Add Tasks</h2>
<p>Gqueues allows you to add tasks in a wide variery of ways:</p>
<ul>
<li>Right in Gqueues</li>
<li>By forwarding to a designated email address</li>
<li>Via Instant Message</li>
<li>Via Bookmarklet</li>
<li>Via Google Reader Link</li>
<li>Via a Google Apps Gmail Contexual Gadget</li>
</ul>
<h2>Re-Ordering Tasks</h2>
<p>You can easily move things around in Gqueues through an easy drag-and-drop interface.</p>
<p>You can also re-order tasks quickly by using a designated button and selecting “By Name” or “By Date”</p>
<h2>Recurring Tasks</h2>
<p>Gqueues allows you to create recurring tasks, however only one instance of a repeating task is in your queue at a time. When you mark a task complete, or delete that instance of the task, the next instance is generated based on the repeating pattern you setup.</p>
<h2>Subtasks</h2>
<p>Substasks are perfect for when a task has a small number of items that go along with it, but creating a whole seperate queue would be a bit much. Just like with everything else, add, deleting, renaming, and reordering is a cinch. You can even hide sub-tasks so you’re not immediately overwhelmed while doing a quick glance over of your list.</p>
<h2>Tagging</h2>
<p>You can tag items across multiple queues. Think contexts from GTD, or maybe dividing up by type of task.</p>
<h2>Keyboard Shortcuts</h2>
<p>Here at SUBERAPPS, we’re really, really, ridiculously big fans of keyboard shortcuts.</p>
<p>And as luck would have it, Gqueues has them!</p>
<p>There’s a complete listing of all shortcuts on the Gqueues site <a href="http://www.gqueues.com/help/keyboardShortcuts" target="_blank">here</a>.</p>
<h2>Bookmarket</h2>
<p>We’re also big fans of bookmarklets, which Gqueues also offers. Install the bookmarklet, click on it while looking at a web page, and a small Gqueues box pops up that allows you to add a description, any notes, and select a queue.</p>
<h2>iGoogle Gadget</h2>
<p>Gqueues offers a streamlined iGoogle Gadget that allows you to see overdue and upcoming tasks, along with giving you the ability to quickly check tasks off.</p>
<p>As a bonus, using Gmail and GCal labs, you can add the gadget directly into your Gmail inbox or Google Calendar. <a href="http://www.suberapps.com/tips-and-tricks/gmail-labs-in-depth/" target="_blank">We wrote a bit about this yesterday</a>.</p>
<h2>Gmail Gadget for Google Apps</h2>
<p>If you’re someone who likes to put emails that they have to respond to on a task list, first off-that’s very smart of you. Second off, this gadget can significantly help you streamline that process.</p>
<h4>How The Gadget Works</h4>
<p>Once you install the gadget, when you open an unread email, there is a button underneath that says Gqueues Create Task.</p>
<p>Once you click the button, a box pops up that lets you choose what Queues the email goes into, the ability to edit the Description (the subject line is the default description),  and you’re even able to add tags, notes, assign it to someone, and/or set a due date. Pretty nifty.</p>
<h2>Google Reader Send-To Link</h2>
<p>We recently had a post here on SUBERAPPS about “<a href="http://www.suberapps.com/tips-and-tricks/google-readers-send-to-feature-the-underdog-of-greader-tricks/" target="_blank">Google Reader’s Send-To Feature: The Underdog of Google gReader Tips</a>”  and then updated it with Gqueues new <a href="http://www.suberapps.com/tips-and-tricks/update-google-readers-send-to-feature-the-underdog-of-greader-tricks/" target="_blank">Send-To-Google Reader Feature</a>.</p>
<p>You can install that Gqueues Gadget for Google Apps <a href="http://www.google.com/enterprise/marketplace/viewListing?productListingId=3324+4025084083083736277" target="_blank">here</a>.</p>
<h2>Mobile Version</h2>
<p>Gqueues offers an iPhone/iPod Touch optimized version instead of a specific app. Just open up Safari, plug Gqueues into the address bar, and you’re good to go. You can also add Gqueues to your homescreen for quick and easy access.</p>
<h2>Sign Up</h2>
<p>Signing up for Gqueues is as easy as logging into your Google Account. Seriously. That’s it.</p>
<p>If you’re using a Google Apps account you can add Gqueues through the Google Apps Marketplace <a href="http://www.google.com/enterprise/marketplace/viewListing?productListingId=3324+12724282445373073967" target="_blank">here</a>. And you can add the Gqueues Google Apps Contextual Email Gadget (well, that’s a mouthful) <a href="http://www.google.com/enterprise/marketplace/viewListing?productListingId=3324+4025084083083736277" target="_blank">here</a>.</p>
<h2>Pricing</h2>
<p>Well, good news and bad news here. Good news is Gqueues IS available for free! YAY! Bad news is most of the features that you would want (think the Google Apps Gmail/Gcal integration and email/text reminders) are paid features. But, good news again! There’s a 30- day free trial to see if you need them. And more good news-it’s a one-time yearly $25 fee. Low enough that you don’t feel horrible shelling out. And for those of us who tend to forget about those pesky $2 charges per month, the ability to just pay a small yearly fee is a nice option.</p>
<p>You can check out a side-by-side comparison of the free vs paid option <a href="http://www.gqueues.com/pricing" target="_blank">here</a>.</p>
<p>Overall, if you’re looking for something to replace that sad, sad thing that is Google Tasks that’s incredibly flexible with strong Google Integration-Gqueues is your app.</p>

		</div>
<p>Every once in awhile an app comes along with an idea that makes so much sense, you can&#8217;t believe no one thought of it first. Every once in awhile you find yourself using an app that you can&#8217;t figure out how you managed to live without. Licorize manages the impossible by being both.</p>
<h2>So, What Is Licorize?</h2>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Licorize&#8217;s aim is to turn bookmarking into essentially a shareable to-do list. Their USP is &#8220;a minimalistic and fast to-do manager that you can feed with your bookmarks and web updates-designed for the web worker set.&#8221;</div>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">
<h2>Great, So What Exactly Does That Mean?</h2>
</div>
<p>Think about your day. You check your RSS reader&#8230;your Twitter feed&#8230;your Facebook&#8230;then there are the links people share with you&#8230;maybe you subscribe to the LinkedIn Q&amp;A section&#8230;</p>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Chances are by the end of the day, you&#8217;ve bookmarked 87 things with the promise to read them&#8230;or tweet them&#8230;or share the links with other people&#8230;or maybe one of them was a tutorial that you wanted to try out&#8230;or something that you wanted to turn into a task&#8230;you get the picture. Anyway, you have all these bookmarks. Sure, they might be tagged with keyword in Delicious or Diigo, but let&#8217;s be realistic-if you don&#8217;t turn it into an actionable task, you&#8217;re probably not going to see those bookmarks again.</div>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Licorize aims to solve that problem by allowing you to conveniently turn those bookmarks into tasks.</div>
<h2>How Convenient Is Convenient?</h2>
<p>VERY. Licorize offers:</p>
<ul style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><a id="iy.2" title="A Firefox Plugin" href="https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/197681/">A Firefox Plugin</a></li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><a id="d.bg" title="A Chrome Extension" href="https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/omakmaebliikebbbhbpmbojkkbnabnkp">A Chrome Extension</a></li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><a id="pd45" title="A Safari Extension" href="http://licorize.com/applications/licorize/site/bookmarklet.jsp?_VP_V_ID=974646734">A Safari Extension</a></li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><a id="mk0g" title="An Opera Custom Button" href="http://licorize.com/applications/licorize/site/bookmarklet.jsp?_VP_V_ID=974646734">An Opera Custom Button</a></li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><a id="rtoa" title="A Bookmarklet" href="http://licorize.com/applications/licorize/site/bookmarklet.jsp?_VP_V_ID=974646734">A Bookmarklet</a>-Well, two bookmarklets. One is for Licorizing and another is for reminding you about what you licorized.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><a id="zu8." title="A Script to Bookmark By Hand for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad" href="http://licorize.com/applications/licorize/site/bookmarklet.jsp?_VP_V_ID=974646734">A Script to Bookmark By Hand for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad</a></li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><a id="nki6" title="A WordPress Plugin" href="http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-licorize-it/">A WordPress Plugin</a></li>
</ul>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">While there isn&#8217;t an actual iPhone or Android extension yet, the people behind Licorize at currently working on one.</div>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">They&#8217;ve pretty much thought of everything.</div>
<h2>What Happens When I Try to Licorize a Web Page?</h2>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">When you Licorize a page, an overlying tab pops up:</div>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2044" title="licorizing" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/licorizing1.jpg" alt="licorizing1 Licorize: FINALLY A Way to Actually Do Something With All Those Bookmarks " width="597" height="399" /></p>
<p>The URL and the Title of the page are pre-filled in by Licorize-though they are editable. Underneath that, there is space for notes. Moving further down, you can choose what project to file the page under and who to assign it to. The person doesn&#8217;t need to have a Licorize account to receive assignments-although if you&#8217;re a helpful friend or co-worker, you&#8217;re probably going to strongly suggest that they get one. The last line includes a slot for tags-just like how you would tag something in Delicious or Diigo.</p>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">But that isn&#8217;t the best part of the Licorize pop-up. The best part is that small icon in the upper left hand corner. Click on that and you can categorize EXACTLY why you&#8217;re bookmarking that particular page.</div>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Licorize has built in options to choose from that include:</div>
<ul style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">To-do</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Idea</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Goal</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Image</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Note</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Milestone</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Reminder</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Meeting</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Worklog</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Effort</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Cost</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Budget</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Contact: person</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Company</li>
</ul>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Once again-the people behind Licorize really do think of everything.</div>
<h2>Ok, I&#8217;ve Licorized a Bunch of Stuff, Now What?</h2>
<p>Well, the first step would be to go to the Licorize site and login.</p>
<p>Once you login, the home screen is divided into 2 columns. On the left you have a &#8220;chronology&#8221; of the posts you Licorized-with the Title, URL, a picture of the web page, what project it belongs to, and any tags you have listed.</p>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">On the left you have 4 different sections:</div>
<ul style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Projects</strong>-allows you to see what you bookmarked for each project and make any edits to the listed bookmarks or manage you projects listed.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Types</strong>-Remember the options you can choose from when you bookmark a web page? Here you can view your bookmarks by the options you tagged them as.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Tags</strong>-Works just like Delicious or Diigo-allows you to search through your bookmarks based on tags.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Calendar</strong>-This is a nifty feature that I&#8217;ve never seen in a bookmark manager before-you can view your bookmarks by date.</li>
</ul>
<p>In the upper left hand corner, there are a few more options to choose from:</p>
<ul style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Home</strong>-This bring you back to your Licorize account&#8217;s home base.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Workweek</strong>-This is one of Licorize&#8217;s amazing features-a calendar pops up allowing you to add boomarks to your calendar in a task management form, ensuring that those bookmark related tasks actually get done.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Weekly Review</strong>-Another one of Licorize&#8217;s unique and amazing features-Licorize allows you to review all the things you bookmarked for the week, including what category you bookmarked them under, ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>People</strong>-This is the Licorize community. There&#8217;s also the ability to see who you have sent tasks to through Licorize.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Help</strong>-Easy access to Licorize&#8217;s contact and help information.</li>
</ul>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Under that there is a link to a list of tools and your setting options.</div>
<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Your setting options include:</div>
<ul style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Your Profile</strong>-including a public gravatar and URL option.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Work Settings</strong>-allowing you to set up what days and hours you work, along with how many projects to show.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Your Booklet</strong>-allowing you to create a customizable CSS-styling for your booklet to share.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Your Account Information</strong>-pretty self-explanatory.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Connections</strong>-here&#8217;s where you can integrate Licorize with Evernote, Twitter, LinkedIn, an RSS feed, Read It Later, and Skype.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>Change Password</strong>-again, pretty self-explanatory.</li>
<li style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><strong>License</strong>-Where you can upgrade or delete your account.</li>
</ul>
<h2>What About my Delicious Bookmarks?</h2>

<p style="clear: both">A few days ago, I demonstrated how you can use a bookmarklet to tweet the title and URL of any page right on the site itself.</p>
<p style="clear: both">I programmed this script to solve my own problem of wanting to tweet an interesting article in the fastest way possible. I thought this might be of interest to you too.</p>
<h2></h2>
<h2><strong>Video Demo</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both"><span style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;"><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="586" height="365" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=10744405&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=0&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=00adef&amp;fullscreen=1" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="586" height="365" src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=10744405&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=0&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=00adef&amp;fullscreen=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></span><br style="clear: both" /><strong> </strong></p>
<h2><strong>What It Can Do</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/tweet-script-twitter-modal-window.jpg" alt="tweet script twitter modal window [Script] Tweet On Any Site (With Multiple Accounts & URL Shortening)" width="538" height="286" align="left" title="[Script] Tweet On Any Site (With Multiple Accounts & URL Shortening)" /><br style="clear: both" />What this script can do is that when you click on the bookmarklet in your bookmarks bar, a modal window appears with the title of the site and the URL (shortened with <a title="J.mp Powered by Bit.ly" href="http://j.mp" target="_blank">j.mp</a>) automatically inserted into the text field. The modal window is fixed in the center of the screen, so scrolling up or down the page will not affect it&#8217;s position.</p>
<p style="clear: both">All you need to do is hit &#8220;Submit&#8221; to share an article with your followers.</p>
<p style="clear: both">
<h2><strong>Multiple Accounts</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/tweet-script-multiple-twitter-accounts.jpg" alt="tweet script multiple twitter accounts [Script] Tweet On Any Site (With Multiple Accounts & URL Shortening)" width="194" height="140" align="left" title="[Script] Tweet On Any Site (With Multiple Accounts & URL Shortening)" />Multiple accounts is supported, so you can select an account using the drop down menu to tweet from. This can be configured in the <strong>config.php</strong> script.</p>
<p style="clear: both">
<h2><strong>URL Shortening</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both">What you don&#8217;t see in this video is URL shortening. But I have programmed it in after receiving some initial feedback. You will need to set your <a href="http://bit.ly" target="_blank">bit.ly</a> or <a href="http://j.mp" target="_blank">j.mp</a> (it&#8217;s the same thing) username and API key in the <strong>config.php</strong> script.</p>
<p style="clear: both">
<h2><strong>Character Count</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/tweet-script-character-count.jpg" alt="tweet script character count [Script] Tweet On Any Site (With Multiple Accounts & URL Shortening)" width="133" height="78" align="left" title="[Script] Tweet On Any Site (With Multiple Accounts & URL Shortening)" />The character count is displayed at the bottom left of the modal window. If you exceed 140 characters, the character count text will turn red.</p>
<p style="clear: both">
<h2><strong>Download</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/tweet-script-download.jpg" alt="tweet script download [Script] Tweet On Any Site (With Multiple Accounts & URL Shortening)" width="323" height="284" align="left" title="[Script] Tweet On Any Site (With Multiple Accounts & URL Shortening)" />You can download the script here:</p>
<p>DOWNLOAD LINK: <a title="Tweet script" href="http://drp.ly/M9laM" target="_blank">http://drp.ly/M9laM</a></p>
<p>You will need to host the script on your own server, the instructions are included in the zip.</p>
<p>With this script, I hope you find sharing articles easier and more enjoyable.</p>
<p>Have fun and let me know if you like it!</p>

Most of you should have known Fluid by now. With Fluid app, you can create &#8220;Site Specific Browsers (SSB)&#8221;, basically turning any web apps into a desktop app. Essentially what Fluid does is create a browser that is dedicated to a single application. To read more about Fluid, read my previous review.

<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/Fluid-Icon.jpg" alt="Fluid Icon Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" width="242" height="150" align="left" title="Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" />Most of you should have known <a title="Fluid" href="http://fluidapp.com/" target="_blank">Fluid</a> by now. With Fluid app, you can create &#8220;Site Specific Browsers (SSB)&#8221;, basically turning any web apps into a desktop app. Essentially what Fluid does is create a browser that is dedicated to a single application. To read more about Fluid, <a title="Fluid App" href="http://www.suberapps.com/2009/01/28/turn-web-apps-into-desktop-apps-with-fluid/" target="_blank">read my previous review</a>.</p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/browsa.jpg" alt="browsa Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" width="249" height="90" align="left" title="Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" />The best thing about Fluid in my opinion, is the ability to let you add another app using the Browsa plugin so that both the main web app and the &#8220;browsa plugin app&#8221; runs side by side.</p>
<p style="clear: both">This is incredibly useful when you mash-up two web apps that compliments each other &#8211; with the &#8220;browsa plugin app&#8221; being an iPhone web app.</p>
<p style="clear: both">To get what I mean, here&#8217;s a couple of examples:</p>
<p style="clear: both">
<h2><strong>Gmail + Google Calendar</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both">I created a <a title="Gmail" href="http://www.gmail.com" target="_blank">Gmail</a> SSB using Fluid, thereafter adding the iPhone&#8217;s version of Google Calendar as a browsa plugin that runs on the right side of Gmail. There you have it, Gmail and Google Calendar running side by side! You can send emails and check schedules at the same time.</p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/gmail_calendar.jpg" alt="gmail calendar Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" width="586" height="393" align="left" title="Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" /><br style="clear: both" /><strong> </strong></p>
<h2></h2>
<h2><strong>SUBERNOVA + Google Calendar</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both"><a title="SUBERNOVA - Project Management and Team Collaboration" href="http://www.subernova.com" target="_blank">SUBERNOVA</a> gives you an iCal link in which you can subscribe to your projects and milestones calendar using Google Calendar or any calendar of your choice. Here&#8217;s an SSB that runs SUBERNOVA and Google Calendar side by side.</p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/subernova_calendar.jpg" alt="subernova calendar Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" width="586" height="394" align="left" title="Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" /><br style="clear: both" /><strong> </strong></p>
<p style="clear: both">
<h2><strong>Gmail + Remember The Milk</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both">If you are a Gmail + <a title="Remember The Milk" href="http://www.rememberthemilk.com/" target="_blank">RememberTheMilk</a> user, you&#8217;ll like this.</p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/gmail_rtm.jpg" alt="gmail rtm Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" width="586" height="393" align="left" title="Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" /><br style="clear: both" /><strong> </strong></p>
<p style="clear: both">
<h2><strong>Threadsy + Hahlo</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both"><a title="Threadsy - Pull Yourself Together" href="http://www.threadsy.com" target="_blank">Threadsy</a> is my new favourite web application. I can check my <a href="http://www.me.com" target="_blank">MobileMe</a> email, work email (hosted on <a title="Google Apps" href="http://www.google.com/a" target="_blank">Google Apps</a>), <a title="Twitter" href="http://www.twitter.com" target="_blank">Twitter</a> and <a title="Facebook" href="http://www.facebook.com" target="_blank">Facebook</a> all in one interface. Sparing me from opening too many browser tabs or desktop apps. This, really simplifies my life, moreover the UI is delicious! If web apps are edible, this surely leaves a sweet after taste.</p>
<p style="clear: both">The only problem I have is that Threadsy doesn&#8217;t support <a title="Twitter Lists" href="http://blog.twitter.com/2009/10/theres-list-for-that.html" target="_blank">Twitter Lists</a>. Hence, running Hahlo beside Theadsy may be a good choice for stranded Twitter users like me.</p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/threadsy_hahlo.jpg" alt="threadsy hahlo Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" width="586" height="402" align="left" title="Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" /><br style="clear: both" /><strong> </strong></p>
<p style="clear: both">
<h2><strong>Seesmic Web + Facebook</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both">The good thing about <a title="Seesmic app" href="http://www.seesmic.com/app" target="_blank">Seesmic</a> as a Twitter web app is that it lets you split different tweet categories into horizontal panels, eg. mentions, dms, lists etc. This makes it easy to scan through tweets. If you&#8217;re a Twitter user but don&#8217;t want to miss out on Facebook updates, pop an iPhone optimized version of Facebook to the right of Seesmic!</p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/seesmic_facebook.jpg" alt="seesmic facebook Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" width="586" height="400" align="left" title="Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" /><br style="clear: both" /><strong> </strong></p>
<p style="clear: both">
<h2><strong>Google Wave + Google Buzz</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both">Doesn&#8217;t mean some people don&#8217;t get <a title="Google Wave" href="http://wave.google.com/" target="_blank">Google Wave</a> and talks rot about <a title="Google Buzz" href="http://buzz.google.com/" target="_blank">Google Buzz</a>, it makes them any less useful. If you like both of Google&#8217;s latest innovation, this is a good match.</p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/google-wave_google-buzz.jpg" alt="google wave google buzz Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" width="586" height="400" align="left" title="Useful Tips & Ideas for Fluid App" /><br style="clear: both" />I hope you find these tips useful and your imagination running wild by a little. :)</p>

<p style="clear: both">As you might already know, Google recently gave GTD fans some lovin&#8217; by optimizing Google&#8217;s &#8220;Tasks&#8221; for iPhone and Android. (<a href="http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/tasks-paper-vs-iphone.html" target="_blank">read more</a> from Google&#8217;s Blog)</p>
<p style="clear: both">Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice if you can also run Google Tasks on your Mac as a menu bar item with the same sleek interface you see on the iPhone or Android?</p>
<p style="clear: both">If you had read my <a href="http://www.suberapps.com/2009/01/28/turn-web-apps-into-desktop-apps-with-fluid/" target="_blank">previous post on the &#8220;Fluid&#8221; app</a>, you&#8217;ll know by now how you can turn web apps into a native desktop app. Using Fluid with Google Tasks means a free GTD native desktop app on your Mac that syncs with the cloud.</p>
<p style="clear: both">
<h1><strong>Here&#8217;s how:</strong></h1>
<p><strong><br />
</strong></p>
<h2>1) <a title="Download Fluid App" href="http://fluidapp.com/" target="_blank">Download Fluid app</a></h2>
<h2><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/fluid-download1.jpg" alt="fluid download1 Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" width="424" height="141" align="left" title="Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" /><br style="clear: both" /></h2>
<h2>2) Install and launch Fluid</h2>
<p style="clear: both">Type in this URL in the URL field - http://mail.google.com/tasks/iphone</p>
<p style="clear: both">Type any name you want in the Name field.</p>
<p style="clear: both">Create the app!</p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/fluid-google-tasks2.jpg" alt="fluid google tasks2 Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" width="586" height="357" align="left" title="Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" /></p>
<h2>3) Convert to MenuExtra SSB</h2>
<p style="clear: both">Go to the Google Tasks menu after you have successfully created the app, select &#8220;<strong>Convert to MenuExtra SSB&#8230;</strong>&#8221; to put Google Tasks on your menu bar.</p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/convert-to-ssb1.jpg" alt="convert to ssb1 Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" width="332" height="413" align="left" title="Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" /><br style="clear: both" /></p>
<p style="clear: both">Now you have Google Tasks natively on your Mac as a menu bar item!</p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/google-tasks-menubar-item1.jpg" alt="google tasks menubar item1 Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" width="158" height="21" align="left" title="Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" /></p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; display: inline;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/google-tasks-ssb1.jpg" alt="google tasks ssb1 Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" width="586" height="492" align="left" title="Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" /><br style="clear: both" />By the way, this tip is also possible with other web apps, especially if they have an iPhone optimized version:</p>
<p style="clear: both"><strong>Remember The Milk</strong></p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/remember-the-milk-ssb1.jpg" alt="remember the milk ssb1 Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" width="586" height="580" align="left" title="Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" /><br style="clear: both" /><strong>Digg</strong></p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/digg-ssb1.jpg" alt="digg ssb1 Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" width="586" height="517" align="left" title="Run Google Tasks on Your Menu Bar" /><br style="clear: both" />Have fun!</p>
<p style="clear: both">

		</div>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/fluid1.png" alt="fluid1 Turn Web Apps into Desktop Apps with Fluid" width="378" height="130" align="left" title="Turn Web Apps into Desktop Apps with Fluid" /><br style="clear: both" />As a web designer, I spend a large amount of time on the internet, using lots of web apps like <a href="http://www.freshbooks.com" target="_blank">Freshbooks</a>, to send and track estimates and invoices to my clients, <a href="http://www.sqlbuddy.com/" target="_blank">SQL Buddy</a>, a much more beautiful alternative to PHPmyAdmin which I have installed on my own hosting server to manage mySQL databases, <a href="http://www.google.com/reader" target="_blank">Google Reader</a>, to keep myself up to date with my favourite news, and the list goes on.</p>
<p style="clear: both">If you&#8217;re like me, you will wish that the developers have built the web apps native for Mac OS X, so that your browser won&#8217;t be cluttered with too many tabs. I&#8217;m not saying that by turning all your web apps into desktop apps won&#8217;t clutter up your dock, but at least resource hungry web apps that are AJAX or Flash driven (eg. <a title="Picnik" href="http://www.picnik.com/" target="_blank">Picnik</a> or <a title="Photoshop Express" href="http://www.photoshopexpress.com" target="_blank">Photoshop Express</a>) won&#8217;t consume too much memory for your browser&#8217;s liking.</p>
<h2>Meet <a href="http://fluidapp.com/" target="_blank">Fluid</a> (Free)</h2>
<p style="clear: both">Fluid not only convert your frequently used web apps into desktop apps, or Site Specific Browsers (SSBs), it also does a little more. Take Google Reader or Gmail for example, you&#8217;ll be able to see unread counts as a dock badge on your dock icon like this (also applies to Gmail):</p>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/fluid-unread-counts1.jpg" alt="fluid unread counts1 Turn Web Apps into Desktop Apps with Fluid" width="280" height="175" align="left" title="Turn Web Apps into Desktop Apps with Fluid" /><br style="clear: both" />If you use Twitter, you can even turn <a title="Hahlo" href="http://www.hahlo.com" target="_blank">Hahlo.com</a> (a Twitter web app client optimized for iPhone) into a menu item, complete with Growl notifications, watch the video below to see how to do that.</p>
<p style="clear: both"><span style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;"><object width="380" height="273" data="http://www.viddler.com/player/46a6569e/" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="id" value="viddler" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="src" value="http://www.viddler.com/player/46a6569e/" /><param name="name" value="viddler" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /></object></span><br style="clear: both" />Here&#8217;s a couple of web apps I have converted into a Mac OS X native desktop application:</p>
<h3><strong>Google Reader<br />
</strong></h3>
<h3><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/fluid-google-reader1.png" alt="fluid google reader1 Turn Web Apps into Desktop Apps with Fluid" width="586" height="415" align="left" title="Turn Web Apps into Desktop Apps with Fluid" /><br style="clear: both" /><strong>mySQL Database &#8211; SQL Buddy</strong></h3>
<h3><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/hex-sql-database1.png" alt="hex sql database1 Turn Web Apps into Desktop Apps with Fluid" width="586" height="431" align="left" title="Turn Web Apps into Desktop Apps with Fluid" /><br style="clear: both" /><strong>Freshbooks</strong></h3>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/fluid-freshbooks1.png" alt="fluid freshbooks1 Turn Web Apps into Desktop Apps with Fluid" width="586" height="398" align="left" title="Turn Web Apps into Desktop Apps with Fluid" /><br style="clear: both" />The possibilities are endless. For instance, I like to manage mySQL databases as a standalone application so that I can put it on my other screen without needing to switch to my browser to manage a database during a development process. If you don&#8217;t have dual monitors, switching to a web app is only a matter of Cmd+TAB.</p>
<p style="clear: both">Coupled with <a title="QuickSilver" href="http://www.blacktree.com/" target="_blank">QuickSilver</a>, <a title="LaunchBar" href="http://www.obdev.at/launchbar" target="_blank">Launchbar</a> or any other application launchers, it&#8217;s even easier to launch your frequently used web apps quickly, avid app launcher users will know what I mean.</p>
<h2><strong>How does the app work?</strong></h2>
<p style="clear: both"><img style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;" src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/fluid-interface4.png" alt="fluid interface4 Turn Web Apps into Desktop Apps with Fluid" width="586" height="357" align="left" title="Turn Web Apps into Desktop Apps with Fluid" /><br style="clear: both" />Converting a web app into a Mac app is easy, launch Fluid and you&#8217;ll be greeted by a user friendly window. Enter the URL of the web app you&#8217;re converting, the name of the app, and choose between using the website&#8217;s favicon as a dock icon (not recommended as your icon will be blurry), or choose your own icon (highly recommended). If you have an image file eg. png, jpg, gif, bmp, but not sure how to convert it into a Mac icon, go <a title="iConvert - convert images into icons" href="http://www.eisbox.net/iconvert/" target="_blank">here</a>, or if you don&#8217;t mind paying for a native Mac OS X icon convertor, <a title="Img2icns App" href="http://www.img2icnsapp.com/" target="_blank">here&#8217;s a good looking and functional one</a>.</p>
<p style="clear: both">It&#8217;s that easy, the following are more videos to learn more about Fluid (the TinyURL feature is really handy):</p>
<h3><strong>The Fluid Thumbnail Plug-in:</strong></h3>
<h3><span style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;"><object width="380" height="273" data="http://www.viddler.com/player/149254d2/" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="id" value="viddler" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="src" value="http://www.viddler.com/player/149254d2/" /><param name="name" value="viddler" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /></object></span><br style="clear: both" /><strong>Fluid TinyURL Features:</strong></h3>
<p style="clear: both"><span style=" display: inline; float: left; margin: 0 10px 10px 0;"><object width="380" height="273" data="http://www.viddler.com/player/d6be4477/" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="id" value="viddler" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="src" value="http://www.viddler.com/player/d6be4477/" /><param name="name" value="viddler" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /></object></span><br style="clear: both" />Enjoy!</p>

<p align="left"><span>If you always find yourself taking screenshots on the web, on your desktop etc, so that you can post the pictures to your blog, you&#8217;ll find your desktop often clogged up with fragments of your screenshots. There are also countless reasons why we take screenshots, like annotating screenshots so that you can explain stuff more easily to your clients or friends. </span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.realmacsoftware.com/littlesnapper/">LittleSnapper</a> lets you organize your desktop mess by placing all your screenshots into it&#8217;s simple and elegant user interface. LittleSnapper is designed and built by <a href="http://www.realmacsoftware.com">Real Mac Software</a>, who&#8217;re also behind <a href="http://www.realmacsoftware.com/rapidweaver/">RapidWeaver</a>, so expect nothing less than fantastic design and user interface.</p>
<h2><strong>Where are your screenshots saved?</strong></h2>
<p>If my screenshots are not saved on my desktop, where are they saved? After some investigation, they&#8217;re actually stored neatly in your ~username/Library/Application Support/[username].lslibrary.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/littlesnapper-library.png" alt="littlesnapper library LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" width="261" height="102" title="LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" /></p>
<p>Any screenshot you delete will be deleted from this [username].lslibrary file.</p>
<p>So think of this little file as your &#8220;desktop&#8221; which stores all your screenshots in which you can manage them through LittleSnapper&#8217;s user interface.</p>
<h2><strong>What&#8217;s great about LittleSnapper?</strong></h2>
<p>- Screenshot management user interface. You can create folders on the left to organize your screenshots. Tagging and rating your screenshots are also possible using the panel on the right.<br />
<img src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/littlesnapper-user-interface1.png" alt="littlesnapper user interface1 LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" width="496" height="363" title="LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" /></p>
<p>- Let&#8217;s you take full web pages (good for showing your clients work progress)<br />
<img src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/littlesnapper-full-pages.png" alt="littlesnapper full pages LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" width="404" height="242" title="LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" /></p>
<p>- Let&#8217;s you snap any window (forget about crosshair!)<br />
<img src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/littlesnapper-snap-window.png" alt="littlesnapper snap window LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" width="406" height="251" title="LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" /></p>
<p>- Let&#8217;s you snap a specific DOM element from any page (much like Safari Web Clips). You can only do this within LittleSnapper&#8217;s in-built web browser.<br />
<img src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/littlesnapper-dom-element.png" alt="littlesnapper dom element LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" width="308" height="115" title="LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" /></p>
<p><img src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/littlesnapper-dom.jpg" alt="littlesnapper dom LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" width="496" height="335" title="LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" /></p>
<h2><strong>Annotation Tools</strong></h2>
<p><img src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/littlesnapper-annotation-tools.png" alt="littlesnapper annotation tools LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" title="LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" /></p>
<p>When comparing LittleSnapper to <a href="http://www.suberapps.com/2008/11/01/skitch/">Skitch</a>, I find that the annotation design elements for LittleSnapper are alot nicer, more &#8220;generic&#8221; in a sense that it does not look too &#8220;kiddish&#8221;. Other than letting you draw squares, circles, lines, arrows, texts, what is most helpful is letting you &#8220;highlight&#8221; certain portions of the screenshot (see below).</p>
<p>Highlight tool lets you highlight a portion of the screenshot and fades out the rest of the image:<br />
<img src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/littlesnapper-highlight.png" alt="littlesnapper highlight LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" width="496" height="299" title="LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" /></p>
<p>You can also blur out certain portions of the screenshot extremely easily (good for blinding out passwords or other sensitive information you don&#8217;t want to share)<br />
<img src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/littlesnapper-blur.png" alt="littlesnapper blur LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" width="496" height="310" title="LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" /></p>
<p>Other standard annotation tools<br />
<img src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/littlesnapper-annotations.png" alt="littlesnapper annotations LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" width="496" height="299" title="LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" /></p>
<h2><strong>Uploading / Sharing via QuickSnapper, Flickr, SFTP or FTP</strong></h2>
<p><img src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/littlesnapper-uploading.jpg" alt="littlesnapper uploading LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" width="352" height="186" title="LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" /></p>
<p>You probably know what&#8217;s FTP and Flickr by now. There&#8217;s also a &#8220;QuickSnapper&#8221; option where you can upload your screenshots to <a href="http://www.quicksnapper.com">QuickSnapper.com</a>. RealMacSoftware makes one of the most attractive web application for you to share your screenshots online.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.suberapps.com/wp-content/uploads/quicksnapper-site.png" alt="quicksnapper site LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" width="496" height="435" title="LittleSnapper Taking Screenshots To The Next Level" /></p>
<h2><strong>Why no Resize?</strong></h2>
<p>LittleSnapper lets you crop your screenshots non-destructively, great, but there are no resize functions! Not sure why this feature is not included as it should be one of the most basic feature that should be included.</p>
<p>Otherwise, another example of an eye pleasing useful app. $39 and you&#8217;re a keeper.</p>
